Sweaters and Cardigans for Women
Atelier Delphine sweaters and cardigans come from a designer’s fine art and literary sensibility. Each knit begins with touch, texture, and quality. Founder Yuka Izutsu approaches fabric as a sculptor or painter would: by feeling, selecting, and shaping materials until they hold both softness and structure.
The collection spans alpaca, wool, pima cotton, Fur-Free Fur, poly satin, Raw Silk, Boucle jersey, locally (LA) made Cotton, sourced through small, fair-trade mills in Peru, Los Angeles, and New York. Whether natural or synthetic, every textile is chosen for its character, integrity, and the way it transforms in the body’s movement. The result is knitwear that marries artful layering, architectural silhouette, and quiet comfort.
Shapes shift from long, sweeping cardigans and oversized cocoon knits to cropped silhouettes and slip-inspired dresses. These pieces invite warmth without heaviness, grounding the body in fall and winter, opening into lighter textures for spring. They are designed to live beyond trend, moving season to season with ease.
Atelier Delphine knitwear is a study in texture, proportion, and timeless design, offering a wardrobe of grace and presence, rooted in art and shaped through craftsmanship.
Atelier Delphine: Ready-to-Wear for the Unconventional and Creative
Founded in 2011 by designer Yuka Izutsu, Atelier Delphine is based in Los Angeles and produced in Peru, Los Angeles, and New York. Drawing from her Japanese upbringing and background in fine art and literature, Izutsu brings an obsessive attention to texture and material integrity. She seeks out small mills and artisans who share her values, from the countryside of Japan to the highlands of Peru, ensuring fabrics are not only beautiful but made with pride and environmental consciousness.
