Night Out - Places That Nourish

Notes from the founder:

This year, I’ve been choosing softness more intentionally. Softer choices, slower evenings, more intentional meals. After years of constant travel, deadlines, and self-imposed pressure, I’ve started giving myself the space to ask: What actually feels like me? Not what I should be doing or eating, but what feels truly aligned for me in this moment.

This subtle shift has completely reshaped my relationship with food. I now cook 90% of my meals, usually Middle Eastern or Mediterranean. I find these flavors that come naturally to my home-cooking. I bring my lunch to the studio every day and, whenever I can, I sync my meals with my cycle. It's a grounding rhythm that's been incredibly healing in ways I didn’t expect.

When I do go out to eat, it’s deeply intentional. I’m drawn to places that feel whole. Places with a clear point of view and a sense of care, with an atmosphere that feels as nourishing as the dishes on their menu. More than just indulgences, these experiences help mark time, milestones, spark inspiration, and remind me what true authenticity feels like.

If you’ve been searching for a new spot in Los Angeles, or want to discover a hidden gem in Brooklyn, here are the restaurants that have stayed with me — places that lingered in my heart long after that last delicious bite.

FIRSTBORN

The flavors and the way it is cooked is a perfect balance of Auburn + Destroyer, and American Chinese food. It’s fresh and new. The atomosphere is calm and uplifting.

BABY BISTRO

A new favorite. Light and soft interiors, and food that feels like an intimate hug from a loved one who really knows how to cook. Their restraint is beautiful, the kind of quiet confidence I admire. There’s comfort here without compromise.

DONNA'S

60’s nostalgia italian joints meet 2025, so cute!

CHI SPACCA

Their Focaccia is everything. So big and dynamic!

ANAJAK THAI

A modern classic. Bold, rooted, and never afraid. Their wine pairings are surprising in the best way, and the food is unforgettable. This place is what happens when tradition meets intention, and it always feels like a gift to be here.

HUDA

Just one NYC mention, but this one deserves it. A little restaurant in Brooklyn I visited with my New York team. There’s something raw and real about it that stayed with me. No pretense, no noise—just food that feels like it was made by someone who really cares. It reminded me of why I started Atelier Delphine: to create something true, something with soul.
